Esthwaite Vale V Staveley 'Reserves'
A good home win to start the season, under the cosh for periods of time, but fresh legs changed the game and a great battling 3-1 win to start the season.

Alston Moor V Esthwaite Vale
Less said about this the better! 11-0 away loss, not a single player played well, we did have players missing but it was no excuse for the performance. Hopefully thats the off day for the season out the way already!
Coniston Reserves V Esthwaite Vale
1-0. This game was a closely contested affair on a rain soaked pitch. A fluke long range goal won it for the home side. The vale will feel hard done by not to get something from this game against their bitter rivals from over the hill.
Esthwaite Vale V Windermere SC 'A'
4-3 Another closely fought game that saw Adam Maclennan score his first hat-trick of the season and a game that the vale should have been expecting to get a good result from, which they did. And although the team switched off and allowed Windermere back into the game, the vale were never behind and a late winner scored by John Matthews was enough to secure the three points.A leg injury to Ben Wilson saw him substituted early on.
Esthwaite Vale V Burneside 'A'
6-3 Free flowing division 4 football at its best. The vale continued with their 100% home record with an emphatic win over a good Burneside outfit. Another Hat-trick for Adam Maclennan, two goals from John and an opportunistic left foot stab from Kie Jackson for his second of the season, saw the points go to the home team. The game itself was a good show of passing and trickery from both side's which enthused the 30 strong Hawkshead Recreation ground faithful. This win boosts Esthwaite to 3rd in the league at this early stage of the season.
Esthwaite Vale V Dent Res
4-0 The vale continued with their 100% home record with a win over a severely weakened Dent side. despite the result, the vale will feel that they should have scored a lot more with all the chances they had on goal, but unfortunately a number of players had left their shooting boots at home and the proverbial cows arse could not be hit with said banjo for the majority of the game. John mathews turned in a hat-trick and Adam Maclennan popped up with a pea roller that bobbled over the keepers shoulder. However, the vale's first clean sheet of the season proved that the defence was a strong organised unit with David Barr barking the orders at the back, along with a decent shut out from the 'back from injury' Ben Wilson. The attackers will gladly take the three points and put the wayward shots behind them and look forward to the visit of Endmoor KGR Res on the 11th of October. MOTM Adam Maclennan. Oh and Jamie had a mint left foot cross towards the closing stages!
Esthwaite Vale Vs. Lunesdale Res
4-1 A good home performance from the vale, 3-0 up in the first half. Two from Brett Jackson, the first from a clever cut back from Chris Moore, the second a tidy chest down and sublime volley from the 18 yard box. Kie Jackson adding to his tally with a safe finish from a well picked Colin Gibson pass. A slightly sketchy start to the second half allowed Lunesdale their only goal - the Vale defence cemented stock still for a second. Adam Mac having a great game, setting up the second goal and naturally slotting one for himself to bring the final score to 4-1. Overall a good performance by the vale, with the strikers working their socks off and the midfield distributing well and the defence remaining solid 89 of the 90 minutes! One spectator commented that: "The boys have done well today, the players stepped up to the plate and the passing was real tight". This win will offer the players encouragement going into a tough tie v Carvetti in the cup this weekend. Man Of The Match Brett Jackson.
